Our clients arranged an in-home consultation to discuss ideas for a 1980s property that was feeling a little dated. Both clients work from home meaning that storage and display space was a consideration, as was retaining a welcoming, homely feel to the property at the end of the working day.
The project developed to encompass an open plan living and dining area, the installation of two study / studios and the conversion of an unloved conservatory into a fantastic entertaining space, which now flows beautifully into the lounge through double glass doors and feels connected to the rest of the property. This has transformed how the clients use and enjoy the space.
Colours are rich and atmospheric in some rooms while light and airy yet still warm and welcoming in others. The lighting scheme has been developed to transform beautifully between working-day and at home-day; and from casual evening relaxation, to dining and entertaining or cosy night-in. Hand-sheered carpets provide a luxurious under-foot feel, whilst consideration has been given to ensuring areas of the study flooring are specifically suited for the use of office chairs. Every detail has been considered and meticulously planned to ensure that out clients have been able to remain in their home whilst the works were undertaken and go about their day to day life with minimal interruption.
